Hofwijck Society
The Hofwijck Society was established in 1913 to save Hofwijck from
becoming a condemned building. A year later the Society was able to
purchase the estate. Through extensive restorations in the 20th century
- the last one taking place in 1995 - the house has at last been restored
to its old glory. The Society's objective is to maintain Hofwijck as
a historical monument and to deepen the scope of knowledge about Huygens
and his family while making it available in the museum.
If you feel an affinity with our cause, you can support us by becoming
a member of the Society. The membership fee starts at € 20.00 per
year. Benefits of Hofwijck Society membership include receiving the
Society's newsletter ‘De Pratebank’, discount on concert
tickets, invitations to talks and other events.
