Hofwijck The Mauritshuis was built at the same time as the Huygens house on the Plein in The Hague, and in the same style, Dutch Classicism. It is now one of the most beautiful museums of the Netherlands with a large collection of 17th century paintings Hofwijck has three portraits of Huygens family members on loan from the Frans Hals Museum. Huygens is considered the discoverer of young Rembrandt. |
